Today we have a wonderful rhyming book based on the author’s real pets! Brody is a Shetland sheepdog, or sheltie for short. Shelties are famous for herding sheep. Brody really wants a sheep of his own to herd. When a fluffy, white newcomer named Peep moves in, Brody thinks his dreams have come true!

I’d like to thank Linda Denning, for being the second author to allow me to read her book! “Peep Is Not A Sheep” is a delightful bedtime (or anytime) story, where children can help Brody decide if Peep is really a sheep or not. The book has a soothing pace and calming message that will help little ones wind down while learning about friendship and acceptance.

Aha! Brody learned that Peep wasn’t a sheep after all! She is really a fluffy, white Pomeranian dog! Brody and Peep became the best of friends even though they were different, and that’s what makes friendship so special! Here is a picture of the real Brody and Peep. Enjoy this delightful story!
