Scout is a curious little goat who just can’t stop wondering what’s on the other side of the fence. One sunny morning on Stephens Farm, he finally decides to find out—and that choice leads to mud, hay, feathers, and a whole lot of adventure.
“Goat on the Go: Scout’s Muddy Day” written by Natalie Horseman

🐷 Mud, Moo, and Feathers Too
Scout’s adventure leads him all over the farm. First, he meets pigs who love rolling in thick, squishy mud. Scout jumps right in and has the messiest fun ever! Then he visits the cows and dives headfirst into a giant pile of hay. After that, he runs through the barn and ends up covered in fluffy feathers.
By the time Scout is done exploring, he doesn’t even look like a goat anymore!

😕 When No One Recognizes You
Because Scout is so muddy, hay-covered, and feather-filled, none of the animals can tell who he really is. Even his own goat friends don’t recognize him. Scout starts to feel sad and worried. What if he can’t get back home?
Sometimes, trying new things is exciting—but it can also feel scary when things don’t go the way we expect.

🌙 Home Feels Best
Luckily, Luna the farm dog has been keeping an eye on Scout all day. Scout finally curls up in his soft straw bed, tired but happy. He had a big adventure, made new friends, and learned something important: exploring is fun, but there’s nothing better than coming home!
