Today we’re going on an exciting musical adventure with our friend, Tala, and something called rhythm. Do you know what rhythm is? Rhythm is the pattern of sounds AND silences in music. It’s like the heartbeat of a song! When we clap our hands, stomp our feet, or play a drum, we’re making rhythm.
Written by musician and author, Vicky Weber, we’re going to help our friend Tala, develop super strength through the power of music! But first, we have to learn about rhythm and that is where TA and TI-TI come in!
- TA is a quarter note, ONE sound that lasts for ONE beat. We will use one clap for TA.
- TI-TI means two eighth notes, or TWO sounds that share ONE beat. We will use two quick claps for TI-TI.
Let’s get ready to help Tala on her “Rhythm Rescue” adventure!
